to a safe, secure, efficient and reliable
rail freight system in Pennsylvania
• A coalition of Class I, regional &
short line railroads and railroad suppliers who are proactive
in resolving issues with state government in the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania.
• The largest state railroad association in the United States
comprising the largest number of freight railroads.
• Continuing to work in concert with state government to
develop and expand programs to resolve problems which impact the
railroad industry.
• A co-sponsor, with the Rail Freight Advisory Committee,
of an annual Joint Rail Freight Conference, which brings together
speakers and panelists of national reputation.
• Governed by an Executive Committee which holds quarterly
meetings, and the organization’s by-laws which mandate a
meeting of KSRRA’s full membership in the fall of each year.
• Managed by The McFarren Group in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania,
and who handles by contract, the coordination of KSRRA committees,
and key legislative and regulatory advocacy responsibilities.
